Club City, BMW Group, Tokyo, Japan - FRANKEN\ARCHITEKTEN

Club City

The MINI corporate architecture allows a black, cubic structure, which is structured with three over the building edges cladding frames. The three special editions „Seven“, „Checkmate“ and „Park Lane“ get communicated by three different “MINI Clubs”: The lifestyle oriented „Night Club“, the sportive „Race Club“ and the exclusive „Members’ Club“. The firstfloor façade is partly of black glass, so the inside “Members Club” life is dimly silhouetted on the façade front.

Scenography is not confined to
the stage or screen, nor just to presen-tation events and trade shows. It is a design approach, rooted in narrative, that can be applied as well to individual buildings and even to urban environments.
