Kloepp

What does an elf commissioner do ? "I pinpoint their location On maps and then we build roads around them." Do you believe in elves and trolls ? "No, but I can see them. I want to wake people up and show them that nature is alive And deserves to be respected. I don´t speak to the elves, I just see them as I see cats and dogs. I don´t talk to them either."
Interview with Erla Stefánsdottir, Elf Commissioner MINI International Reykjavik, 1/2003
We clamped a block of stone between the existing structures and cut it in three places with canyons. The shape of the canyons was generated using computer simulation technology on the basis of the environmental forces of streets and a “Trollstein”. The shape and materiality simultaneously express continuity and constant change – qualities which characterize a ministry’s work.
